ZANU PF Mashonaland Central province is boiling with Mazowe District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC) Tafadzwa Musarara and party Provincial chairperson Kazembe Kazembe fighting there by dividing supporters.
The pair squared up in the just ended controversial provincial elections and have not made peace afterwards.
Sources within the party told this publication that the two have caused rift in the party.
"The two are still fighting and as we speak tomorrow there is a preparatory meeting called by the chair (Kazembe) for Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) scheduled for Friday," said the source who declined to be named.
"Kazembe is plotting to suspend Musarara who is being accused of posting a WhatsApp status denigrating the President."
According to leaked chats from a ZANU PF group Mazowe District Co-ordinating Committee DCC spokesperson Kushinga Dutiro said Musarara's WhatsApp was hacked hence he has since disengaged his WhatsApp.
However, Musarara's supporters allege Kazembe is trying to suspend his rival so as to go uncontested in the looming ZANU PF primary elections.
"Kazembe is a Former Minister of ICT and is a guru in ICT he is trying by all means to use social media to suspend Musarara who has been giving him an election headache since 2013," the source said.
The Kazembe faction insists Musarara should be suspended since he allegedly abused social media.
"Musarara should be suspended because he abused social media and insulted the President," claimed the source.
However, in the just ended. Provincial elections Kazembe tried to suspend Musarara from contesting accusing him of vote buying after he gave the women's league flour, the attempt hit a brick wall.
In 2018 the Kazembe faction burnt Musarara's truck which carried food handouts to the electorate.
Both Musarara and Kazembe did not respond to questions sent to them.
