Zimbabwe Republic Police ZRP has failed to bring Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Kazembe Kazembe's follower Isheanesu Dzimbiti to Bindura magistrates courts for initial remand today.
Dzimbiti is being charged with threats of future violence after he allegedly threatened Freelance journalist Simbarashe Sithole whom he accused of writing negative stories on Kazembe.
Sithole's legal advisor Alice Mujakachi blasted the police saying they should be guided by Section 69(2) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
"We are not happy with ZRP who did not bring the accused to court may it be known that the accused has to be brought to court for due administration of justice to be seen, Mujakachi said.
The police should be guilded accordingly by Section 69 (2) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment Number 20 of 2013 which provides a right to a fair, speedy public hearing within a reasonable time," she added.
Contacted for comment Bindura Criminal Investigations Department (CID) law and order said they were yet to complete the docket.
