Man murdered, body hanged on a tree

A 40-year-old man is suspected to have been the victim of a homicide, his life taken by unknown assailants, who then hanged his lifeless body from a tree in a wooded area in Mwenezi. The body of the deceased, Godfrey Marambire, was discovered recently, displaying numerous injuries, while the rope used for the hanging bore traces of blood.

Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the national police spokesperson, confirmed the incident, stating, "Police in Mwenezi are currently conducting an investigation into a presumed murder case involving Godfrey Marambire, aged 40, whose lifeless body was located in a wooded area near Zhanje, Chirimigwa, Neshuro on September 25, 2023. The victim sustained injuries across his body and was suspended from a Mopani tree, with a rope that was stained with blood."

Additionally, in Guruve, the police are conducting an investigation into another murder case. This case involves a security guard by the name of Juda Karambwe, who was discovered deceased with facial injuries at a church's headquarters in Karambwe Village, Chipuriro area, on Sunday. The victim's hands and legs had been bound with a rope.
