Bosso fan named 2024 Castle Lager PSL fan of the year

Highlanders fan Mayibongwe "Mgijimi" Mkhweli has been crowned the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League's 2024 Fan of the Year. Mgijimi, a beloved figure in Zimbabwean football, is celebrated for his vibrant support, donning his trademark Afro wig and bringing electrifying energy to matches, particularly at Barbourfields Stadium. Known for his unique tradition of jogging along the stadium's perimeter fence, he has become a symbol of unwavering passion for his team.

The award, determined through an online poll conducted by the Premier Soccer League (PSL), saw fans from across the country voting for their standout supporters of the season. Mgijimi's unmatched enthusiasm and commitment to Highlanders earned him the top spot, with supporters across the league recognizing his dedication to the sport.

Caps United's Richard "Chemhofela" Sande claimed the first runner-up position, while Dynamos supporter Barbara "Achihoro" Mkwananzi secured the second runner-up spot. The competition highlighted the incredible energy and passion of Zimbabwean football fans, who are often referred to as the "12th man" for their teams.
