Form 4 pupil kills fellow student for bullying brother

Police in Masvingo have arrested a 19-year-old Form Four pupil in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old student following a violent altercation near a high school in the district on Monday.

The tragic incident occurred when the suspect confronted the victim, accusing him of assaulting his younger brother. What began as a heated argument between the two soon escalated into a physical confrontation.

According to police reports shared on X, during the altercation, the suspect allegedly drew an Okapi knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach. The victim, who was critically injured, was quickly rushed to a local clinic in Zimuto for emergency treatment.

Unfortunately, despite efforts to save him, the victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival at the clinic.

The police have since arrested the suspect, who is now facing charges related to the murder. Authorities are continuing their investigations into the incident as the community grapples with the shocking and tragic event.

This incident highlights the growing concerns about violence among school-age youths, and authorities are urging students and parents to engage in peaceful conflict resolution methods to avoid such deadly outcomes in the future.
