Bindura man cheats death after brutal machete attack

A 30-year-old man, Tafadzwa Jorosi, is battling for his life at Bindura Provincial Hospital after being brutally assaulted by four machete-wielding assailants last week.
Mashonaland Central provincial deputy police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Lucy Chigwenhese, confirmed that the incident occurred around 5 a.m. along Sojini Street, where Jorosi was found lying helpless with fresh wounds.
"I can confirm an attempted murder case in which Jorosi sustained serious injuries, including stab wounds to the head, under the right armpit, and twice on the left leg," said Assistant Inspector Chigwenhese.
Jorosi's condition is critical. He was admitted to Bindura Provincial Hospital after receiving initial treatment at Chiwaridzo Clinic.
Chigwenhese stated that police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack, as Jorosi is currently unable to provide further details due to his condition.
Meanwhile, Assistant Inspector Chigwenhese emphasised that the incident highlights the urgent need for increased vigilance and community cooperation to prevent such violent crimes. Police have appealed to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects to come forward and assist with the investigation.
