The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have arrested two men for allegedly parading an illegal firearm at Dulivhadzimu bus terminus.
The arrests followed a tip-off received by police, who acted swiftly on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
According to a ZRP statement released on Friday, 27-year-old Simbarashe Jimmy Madziva was apprehended with a pistol loaded with a magazine containing seven blank cartridges. Madziva later implicated 39-year-old Munyaradzi Chitsike, who was also arrested.
"The suspects were taken into custody for unlawful possession of a firearm," the ZRP said.
The police noted that the arrests form part of an ongoing crackdown on firearms smuggling along the Limpopo River, highlighting efforts to curb illegal arms in the region.
