Woman smashes windows over 'stolen' man

A 44-year-old woman, Ellen Lunga, has been remanded in custody after allegedly attacking her neighbour's home with stones over suspicions that the neighbour was hiding her boyfriend.
The incident occurred on 8 October 2025 at Ntutungwe Village under Chief Kandana. Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi told Plumtree Magistrate Joshua Nembaware that Lunga allegedly threw twelve stones at Sikhanyisiwe Ndlovu's one-roomed house early in the morning, causing approximately US$40 in damage.
According to witnesses, Lunga shouted accusations that Ndlovu had locked her boyfriend inside the house. Ndlovu was reportedly asleep when the first stones hit, forcing her to seek cover. The alleged boyfriend was not found at the scene.
Lunga was remanded in custody until 28 October, pending further legal proceedings.
