Patriotic Vendors4ED says it is set to roll out a groundbreaking provincial launch in Matabeleland North, describing the upcoming event as an initiative "never seen before" in the province.
The launch will take place at the Lupane District Centre Terminus Vending Site.
In a statement, the organisation said the countdown has begun, with the event scheduled for Sunday, 1 March 2026, starting at 8am.
"Matabeleland North Province in Zimbabwe consists of seven administrative districts, with its capital located in Lupane. The districts are Binga, Bubi, Hwange, Lupane, Nkayi, Tsholotsho and Umguza," reads the statement.
"These districts cover the north‑western part of the country, featuring key locations such as Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park."
Patriotic Vendors4ED National Chairman Sawu Jere said the launch marks the beginning of a transformative journey for vendors across Zimbabwe.
"We are a very organised, registered and affiliated group to the ZANU‑PF National People's Party. The launch ignites a movement that leads masses and is joined by almost every vendor nationwide. We will unveil a vision that will give every vendor a clear direction — a roadmap that brings oneness, order and unity," he said.
Jere added that the organisation has championed a culture of discipline and loyalty among vendors.
"We pioneered a new way that was well appreciated by every vendor in the country — to shun corruption, be loyal to our Head of State, President Mnangagwa, walk in his footsteps and respect his principles on the disbursement of empowerment funds. It requires financial discipline not to divert funds; respect that."
He said all Patriotic Vendors4ED members are now expected to obtain membership cards.
"Just consult your provincial chairs and national members; they will assist you. It's high time every vendor inclines to order to attain our Vision 2030 goals," he said.
Matabeleland North Provincial Chairperson Ruth Sibanda urged vendors from across the province and the country to attend the launch.
"We kindly invite all our Mat North Province vendors and all vendors from our 10 provinces to sacrifice your time and attend this special event that will redefine our future as vendors. Don't miss out on this momentum that will change lives and better the future for vendors. This is the beginning of something significant in our province. Let's come in numbers and join our national visionary leaders for our provincial launch," she said.
