Victoria Falls border post to be upgraded

Vice President Kembo Mohadi has reaffirmed Government's commitment to transforming the Victoria Falls Border Post into a modern and efficient gateway, stressing the urgent need for digital solutions to ease congestion at the busy facility.

Accompanied by a delegation of senior Cabinet ministers, Mohadi toured the border post on Friday morning to assess the impact of recent infrastructure upgrades and its transition to 24-hour operations.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the Vice President to engage frontline officials who manage one of the country's busiest ports of entry.

While acknowledging progress made since the introduction of round-the-clock services, Mohadi observed that rising traffic volumes - particularly the influx of haulage trucks - have placed significant pressure on existing infrastructure, necessitating further modernisation efforts to improve efficiency and reduce delays.
