Member of Parliament for Pelandaba-Tshabalala, Joseph Tshuma, has asserted that the United States should not impose conditions on Zimbabwe's US$367 million health funding package.
Tshuma emphasized that while there remains room for engagement between Harare and Washington, such discussions must occur on equal terms without external parties dictating the pace.
He made the remarks in response to a question from opposition leader Charles Moyo, who asked why Zimbabwe had withdrawn from the funding negotiations.
Tshuma did not provide specific details on the reasons for the pullout but stressed the need for mutual respect and parity in discussions concerning the allocation and implementation of the health support.
