Presidential Advisor Dr Paul Tungwarara has expressed his gratitude after being co-opted into Zanu-PF's Central Committee, describing the appointment as an honour and pledging to serve with diligence and commitment.

The co-option by Zanu-PF's Manicaland Province was formally endorsed by the party's Politburo in Harare on Wednesday. Following the announcement by Zanu-PF spokesperson Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa, Dr Tungwarara thanked President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the party for the opportunity.

"This is a responsibility I do not take lightly," he said, adding that he would carry out his duties with diligence, humility, and unwavering commitment.

He called on all Zimbabweans to work collectively toward national development, saying: "As Zimbabwe advances towards the realization of Vision 2030, it is time for all of us to put our hands on deck, to work collectively, and to ensure that our nation achieves the prosperity and development that our people deserve."
