Zimbabwe's national football team, the Zimbabwe national football team, have suffered a setback ahead of the Four Nations Tournament in Botswana, with four key players ruled out due to injury.

Among those unavailable is Scotland-based forward Tawanda Maswanhise of Motherwell FC, alongside experienced striker Knowledge Musona, forward Prince Dube, and winger Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya.

Warriors head coach Marian Marinica has responded by calling up replacements, including Washington Navaya (Hardrock), Jarrison Selemani (FC Platinum), Godknows Murwira (Scottland), and Mongameli Tshuma (Highlanders FC).

Players began reporting for camp in Bulawayo, with early arrivals participating in light training sessions as preparations got underway. The full squad is expected to assemble ahead of the tournament.

With limited time to prepare, Marinica acknowledged the challenge of building team cohesion but emphasized the importance of competitiveness and giving opportunities to new players.

The Warriors are set to play a practice match against Highlanders FC as part of their buildup before heading to Francistown for the Four Nations Tournament, which runs from March 28 to 31.

Zimbabwe will be looking to overcome the disruption and put together a strong performance as they compete for both ranking points and silverware.
