Former Warriors midfielder Esrom Nyandoro has reportedly been appointed as the new Zimbabwe national team manager ahead of the upcoming Four Nations tournament in Botswana.

Sources close to the developments say Nyandoro will join the technical setup for the tournament scheduled from March 23 to 31, although the Zimbabwe Football Association is yet to officially confirm the appointment.

Nyandoro, a former captain of Mamelodi Sundowns, was recently spotted alongside Warriors head coach Marian Marinica and analyst James Makoni during a goalless clash between Highlanders FC and MWOS FC at Barbourfields Stadium—fueling speculation about his new role.

Insiders also indicated that Clemence Matawu is no longer part of the technical team, with Nyandoro expected to step into the position.

However, it remains unclear whether Nyandoro's appointment is permanent or limited to the Botswana tournament.

Meanwhile, the Warriors squad has already begun assembling in Bulawayo as preparations gather momentum for the regional competition.

If confirmed, Nyandoro's return marks a significant moment for Zimbabwean football, bringing experience and leadership from one of the country's most respected former players back into the national fold.
