Police hunt for Vic Falls theft suspect

Police have appealed for information that may lead to the arrest of a security guard accused of stealing cash in transit while on duty in Victoria Falls.
In a statement posted on X, the Zimbabwe Republic Police said they are looking for Jumani Chuma (43), who is wanted in connection with a theft case involving funds kept in a company vault.
"The ZRP is appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Jumani Chuma (43), who is wanted in connection with a case of theft which occurred in Victoria Falls," police said.
Chuma, who was employed as a cash‑in‑transit officer responsible for operating the vault, allegedly went missing on 30 March.
Police said that after an audit, the company discovered that US$86,989 was unaccounted for.
"Anyone with information is urged to report at any nearest police station," police added.
