The Zimbabwe national football team are set to travel to the United Kingdom in May to participate in the Unity Cup, a four-nation tournament featuring teams from across different continents.

The competition will run from May 26 to 30 in London, with Zimbabwe facing Nigeria national football team, Jamaica national football team and India national football team.

The Warriors will be making their debut appearance at the tournament, where Nigeria enter as defending champions.

Organisers say the Unity Cup is designed to promote global unity through football by bringing together nations from different regions while fostering competitive international matches.

The tournament will mark Zimbabwe's second outing this year, following their participation in the Mukuru Four Nations Cup.

Nqobile Magwizi, president of the Zimbabwe Football Association, recently said efforts are underway to reintegrate Zimbabwean football into the international arena following the lifting of the FIFA ban.

Magwizi noted that his administration is working to ensure the national team regains its competitive edge and visibility on the global stage, with tournaments such as the Unity Cup providing valuable exposure.
