Zimbabwean woman 'robs' ex-lover

A Beitbridge woman has appeared in court facing robbery charges after allegedly attacking her former boyfriend with the assistance of a taxi driver before robbing him of cash and a cellphone during a violent altercation at a service station.

Llate Sinyoro is accused of assaulting her ex-lover, Siphilile Ncube, together with taxi driver Tiso Mukwena during an incident that allegedly occurred on February 9, 2026, at Engen Garage Service Station in Beitbridge.

According to allegations presented before the court, Ncube and Sinyoro were previously involved in a romantic relationship.

The court heard that on the day in question, Ncube allegedly spotted Sinyoro loading goods into a taxi driven by Mukwena at the service station.

Prosecutors allege Ncube approached Sinyoro demanding the return of his gas regulator, triggering an argument between the former couple.

The dispute allegedly escalated into violence after Sinyoro and Mukwena allegedly began slapping Ncube.

During the confrontation, Mukwena allegedly produced a knife and stabbed Ncube on the hand.

In another shocking allegation, Sinyoro is accused of squeezing Ncube's testicles during the assault before forcibly taking his Samsung A16 cellphone and US$800 cash.

After the alleged robbery, Ncube was reportedly left at the service station while Sinyoro and Mukwena drove away from the scene.

The matter is still before the courts.
