Bulawayo to experience Radio and TV signal blackout

Transmedia Corporation has advised residents and stakeholders in and around Bulawayo to expect a temporary interruption to radio and television broadcasting services due to scheduled maintenance.
In a public notice, the corporation said there will be a planned signal blackout on Thursday, 16 July 2026, from 9:00pm to midnight.
According to Transmedia, the outage is necessary to allow for the replacement of ageing power cables as part of preparations for the refurbishment of the Bulawayo FM transmission network.
The corporation apologised for any inconvenience the temporary interruption may cause and urged viewers and listeners to make the necessary arrangements during the maintenance period.
The refurbishment forms part of ongoing efforts to improve the reliability and quality of broadcasting services in the Bulawayo region.
