SCOTTLAND returned to the summit of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League on Saturday after cruising to a 3-0 victory over Agama at Rufaro Stadium.

The win took Scottland to 61 points from 29 matches, one point ahead of Hardrock, who moved to 60 points after edging Highlanders 1-0 in Bulawayo.

With both teams having five matches remaining, the title race is entering a decisive stage.

Scottland took control of their match early, with Mthokozisi Msebe opening the scoring in the 18th minute.

Msebe struck again six minutes later to complete his brace and give Scottland a 2-0 advantage at half-time.

The second goal was initially attributed to another player in some reports, but Scottland's official match update confirmed Msebe as the scorer of both goals.

Scottland continued to dominate after the break and extended their lead in the 56th minute when Campos scored his first goal for the club to complete a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Hardrock maintained their impressive run under coach Kelvin Kaindu with a 1-0 victory over Highlanders.

The win was Kaindu's 11th successive victory in all competitions, while league-leading goalscorer Washington Navaya scored the decisive goal — his 16th of the season.

The result provided revenge for the Kwekwe-based side after Highlanders had beaten them 1-0 in the reverse fixture at Chahwanda Stadium.

Elsewhere, CAPS United defeated MWOS 1-0, while FC Platinum recorded a similar victory over ZPC Kariba.

Chicken Inn beat Simba Bhora 2-1, while FC Hunters edged Manica Diamonds 1-0.

TelOne and Ngezi Platinum shared the points after a 2-2 draw.

With just five rounds remaining, Scottland hold a slender one-point advantage over Hardrock as the battle for the 2026 PSL championship intensifies.
