Zimbabwe Warriors' new luxury bus delayed from South Africa

Zimbabwe's Warriors will have to wait a little longer to take delivery of their new luxury team bus after a public holiday in South Africa delayed the completion of the vehicle's importation paperwork.

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) acquired the branded bus from Irizar South Africa as part of efforts to improve transport arrangements for the senior national team.
However, the completion of the necessary importation documentation was delayed by the public holiday in South Africa.

"Everyone is disappointed because we had wanted to welcome the Warriors back home in both style and luxury, but there is nothing that can be done," a ZIFA insider said.

"We cannot circumvent the process. Unfortunately, we have to wait for all the necessary paperwork to be completed, but we hope the bus will soon be in the country and available for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers."

The latest purchase brings to four the number of buses acquired by ZIFA.

The association had hoped to have the new bus in Zimbabwe in time to welcome the Warriors home ahead of their showdown against the Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday.

The new bus is part of ZIFA's efforts to improve the Warriors' logistical arrangements as the national team prepares for upcoming international assignments.
