Prophet Uebert Angel reportedly targeted in alleged attack, social media claims
HARARE - Claims circulating on social media allege that religious leader Uebert Angel was the target of a failed attack in Shawasha during the early hours of the morning.
The claims emerged from a TikTok post shared by an account associated with Spirit Embassy followers, which urged supporters to pray for the preacher's protection.
According to text displayed in the post, two armed men allegedly emerged from nearby bushes in Shawasha at around 2am and attempted to attack Angel.
The post further claims that the alleged attack failed after a bullet reportedly missed its intended target and struck a water tank instead.

No official evidence supporting the claims was presented in the post, and no photographs, police statements or witness accounts were provided.
At the time of publication, neither Angel nor representatives of his ministry had publicly commented on the allegations.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police had also not issued any statement confirming an attack or opening an investigation into the matter.
As a result, the claims remain unverified social media allegations.
The incident nevertheless generated discussion among followers, with several users calling for prayers and expressing concern over the reported claims.
Further details are expected should authorities or representatives of Angel's ministry issue a formal statement.
