An MDC-T supporter Esau M'Zambia Milanzi rapped some sections of the society and Morgan Tsvangirai's critiques for scorning him and claiming that he is HIV positive that is why he has lost too much weight saying that is bound to happen to anyone who falls sick at a given time.
"To the few prophets of doom who have been making spurious comments on the appearance of my Zimbabwean President Morgan Tsvangirai about his appearance, please do know that when one is sick, one is bound to lose weight. Secondly, let';s stop this nonsense about him being HIV+ or suffering from AIDS in the absence of us seeing proof to that effect," he said.
"I am reminded of my sister Martha (God rest her soul) who was a chronic sickle cell anemia patient. She was severely emaciated and would need a blood transfusion every time she had her menses and belonged to a rare blood group. Thus she would lie in Parirenyatwa Hospital awaiting the right blood but one day her body just rejected the transfusion she had just had and she had renal failure which led to her death a few days later."
"I am reminded of an incident one day, when I was holding her hand and walking her to my truck after such an transfusion. A couple of guys and a lady thought it fit to pass a snide remark to the effect that "AIDS had indeed spread like wild..." The guys never knew the Goat Herder, neither did they know his sister but they were very quick to judge," he added.
Milanzi said his sister was devastated by these words and one day whilst talking about stigmatization of HIV and AIDS, he mentioned it on SWRadio Africa whilst being interviewed by Mary Mundawarara, a very good friend of the Goat Herder. But back to his narration he told the guys that they were cruel and ill-raised.
"One of them felt so offended and wanted to cross the road, probably to give the Goat Herder a black eye. Then fate intervened: the dude did not check before attempting to cross the road and he was struck by an ambulance within the Parirenyatwa premises," he said.
"My sister and I postponed our hasty departure and checked on him. He was admitted in C4 with a fractured leg and arm and some other injuries. A couple of days later, my sister and I visited him, she carrying a bunch of flowers and a get-well-soon card. Folks, be very careful of what you say to people. The tongue has been the source of many wars and much pain. RIP Martha, you were a sister in a million."
