MDC-T spokesperson, Obert Gutu, on Friday turned down an invitation by prophet Water Magaya to attend a Friday night crusade.

Prophetic Healing Deliverance ministries (PHD) leader was holding a crusade which the stylish cleric said was going to be "life changing not only to Zimbabwe as a nation but for the region".

Magaya invited Gutu to attend the  crusade at the PHD church's Water Falls head offices which he (Magaya) claimed was going to be attended by over  500 000 congregates.

"The purpose of this prayer meeting is to change the spiritual and physical aspect of human lives as this shall be a night of turn around, witnessing God's intervention and the demonstration of God's power," reads part of the invitation which Magaya wrote, signed and sent to Gutu.

Responding to the invitation, Gutu used his Facebook page, Friday, to seek the public's opinion on whether he should attend the Magaya crusade.

"I recently received this invitation letter. I was born and bred in the then Dutch Reformed Church (DRC) now known as the Reformed Church in Zimbabwe (RCZ)," wrote Gutu.

He added, "I have got no intention, what so ever, to abandon the only church that I have been a member of since I was born. Your thoughts?"
