Superstition scare as woman dies after seeing bullfrog

MATABELELAND NORTH - A Bubi woman collapsed and died after she was 'visited' by a bush frog at her home in Molo village, a vernacular paper Umthunywa reported today.

The incident which left villagers dumbfounded occurred recently. Reports state that Margaret Sithole was visited by the weird creature known as "idlamehlo" in Ndebele in her bedroom before she collapsed and developed breathing complications.

She was then ferried to a local hospital where she died upon admission.

Her friend, Nkosikazi Sibanda confirmed the bizarre incident saying the deceased used to narrate several ordeals associated with superstition.

A local village head identified as Khiliyathi Moyo also confirmed that the incident occurred.
