In a state of panic President Emmerson Mnangagwa's faction has reportedly deployed varakashi to defend their principal. Information at hand indicate that Varakashi in an urgent briefing meeting held last night in Kwekwe they  were given an instruction to blame the lack of confidence in the President on exiled former cabinet minister Saviour Kasukuwere.

It is alleged that Varakashi were told to deploy all their resources and rally all President Emmerson Mnangagwa's supporters such as Young women for ED to fight Kasukuwere and everyone who supports him.

The is plot is reportedly to smear and attack Kasukuwere is meant to ensure that Kasukuwere is not allowed back into ZANU PF as they fear that Kasukuwere would defeat Mnangagwa at a ZANU PF elective congress.

It is reported that General Constantino Chiwenga faction is growing stronger within ZANU PF  and government.
"Mnangagwa is scared of a Kasukuwere - Chiwenga combination, he knows Tyson can beat him flat in any Zanupf elective congress and at the same time can not deploy his Varakashi to say Pasi na General. It is not a bad idea for anyone to want  General Chiwenga to take over from Mnangangwa " said  Political analyst and Wits University adjunct  professor  Dr Moyo.

General Chiwenga has endorsed Mnangagwa as the party's sole candidate for 2023 , while provinces are asking for an elective congress in October.
