MDC-T to force Zanu PF 'kicking and screaming' to implement reforms by end of this year!

When Tsvangirai announced that the MDC-T was ending it "No reforms, no elections" elections boycott in the first breath and then said the party will only take part in free and fair elections in the next breath; many people must have been confused by that.
"Yes Dr Tsvangirai it is as clear as mud," commented Wilbert Mukori.
Well Wilbert and all those people out there who had found Tsvangirai's statement contradictory and confusing; Douglas Mwonzora, MDC Secretary General has shed some light on the matter.
"What we are saying is that we will force the government to institute electoral reforms," explained Mwonzora to New Zimbabwe reporter. "We will drag this government kicking and screaming to implementing the reforms; and we will participate in the 2018 elections after reforms have been done."
"But you have sought to put pressure on the government by boycotting current by-elections and the Zanu PF administration has successfully ignored you and happily collected seats in recent by-elections; and they look like they will continue to ignore you …" pressed the New Zimbabwe reporter.
"They will do that at their own peril," answered Mwonzora but would not say what this peril was.
"Well, you wait and see. Because definitely what we can assure the people is that we're going to do something about it.
"We have decided; and we are going to roll out what we have decided to force this government, kicking and screaming," Mwonzora went on.
"This is not the first time that we have forced Zanu PF to change course; we have forced Zanu PF to change course. We forced Zanu PF to change course and it did; we forced Zanu PF to the negotiating table after 2008 elections. So, this is nothing new."
So there we are my fellow Zimbabweans our dear leader Dr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai is not, I repeat he is NOT, abandoning his party's 2014 congress resolution that MDC-T will not take party in any elections or by-elections until electoral reforms necessary for free and fair elections have been implemented.
The MDC-T leadership have a plan to force Zanu PF "kicking and screaming" to implement all the electoral reforms to ensure free and fair elections. The plan is fool proof and guaranteed to work that the party is abandoning its election boycott. The leaders even know when the plan would have worked its magic!
"It's definitely going to happen this year," said Mwonzora.
Of course it is all grandstanding and MDC-T is the grandmaster in this! We are back to the GNU days MDC would come up with a list of demands they wanted President Mugabe to fulfil or else they would walkout and bring the GNU down. As a rule, President Mugabe ignored the demands and MDC always capitulated and pretended they never made any such threats and demands. MDC-T have no secret plan to force Zanu PF to implement reforms, the party is abandoning its resolution to boycott elections although not even one of the party's conditional demands had been fulfilled!
"How anyone can be this corrupt and incompetent," commented Wilbert "and yet still be considered competent to be Prime Minister is a complete mystery!
"As long as we continue to have such a laissez-faire attitude to the important task of electing competent leaders, the nation is even considering re-electing the same corrupt and incompetent MDC leaders regardless of their track record of failure, then we are going to remain, stuck, in this hell-hole for a long time."
Tsvangirai and his MDC friends have lost political credibility ever since the rigged July 2013 elections, they are desperate to attention and the nation can expect even more outlandish grandstanding from MDC leaders in their desperate effort to catch public attention. This is cause for concern of course; given we have a public that is ill informed and, after 35 years of Zanu PF propaganda and brainwashing, many of them intellectually brain-dead.
Still we must ignore the MDC's distractions as best as we can and continue pushing for the implementation of ALL the democratic reforms and holding of free, fair and credible elections. If you do not, then we will remain, stuck, in this hell-hole for a very long time!
