Mambo dynasty revival, a Moyo family agenda playing shield to the collapsing Zimbabwe
19 Nov 2015 at 10:02hrs | Views
It is so sad to note that the Moyo family not even in monarchy of the BuKalanga Empire is used to prolong the sufferings of the people of Matebeleland under Zanu. I read with so much shame to note that the group's sponsor Mike Moyo who also serves as the group chairman and Ndzimu-unami Moyo are brothers and three questions sprung up into my mind when reading through their article attacking Mphoko for supporting the idea of installing a King of Matebeleland.
1) Who exactly is behind the revival of the Mambo Dynasty?
2) Who were the Moyos in the Mambo Dynasty?
3) Who did these Moyo brothers consult with if the rest of the Kalanga people are not aware of the developments?
As a Kalanga representing all the Real Kalangas and people who have seen it all under the Zimbabwean rule, I feel insulted to be associated with these brothers in any way. In any sober sense, why should any true Kalanga person rejoice under the rule of Zimbabwe? Why should any sober minded Kalanga revolt the installation of the Matebeleland king? Didn't the Ndebele people whom these Moyo brothers are seeing as enemies, fight the white settlers regime along side them, under a Kalanga, Joshua Nkomo? Did these Moyo brothers look and rejoice when a woman in Mpandeni was raped by the Gukurahundi in full view of her husband and children or were they part of the rapists? Are these Moyo brothers not the syndicate of those who called us the uneducated and criminals in foreign lands? Are these brothers not the white coated hands who exploit our resources to build the Mugabe empire in Zvimba?
In the least of condemning these brothers, it is just a disgrace having such people in our community and worse sharing the same calling with them.
As the Chairlady of Real BaKalanga, we express our disturbance over the introduction of this hairy hand in the rebuilding of Bukalanga. It is a truth that no one can dispute that the Bukalanga existed way before the Ndebele Kingdom but under the Ndebele Kingdom, Kalanga people never had problems they have experienced under Zimbabwe. Just as one family, Ndebeles and Kalangas lived under Joshua Nkomo, a Kalanga by birth just in peace as they were under the Ndebele King and we as the Real BaKalanga, we are seriously opposed to the revival of Bukalanga on bases of prolonging our stay with the people who killed our loved ones, raped and maimed others.
We plead with the Moyo brothers to put their act together or they tear the Kalanga people apart. It is clear that they are only sponsored by Zanu to tarnish the image of the Kalanga people. Recently, these brothers in the name of promoting Kalanga culture, encouraged people to engage in sex in full view of hundreds of the public. What a shame did that bring to us as the Kalangas and how much shame and a state of conflicting are these brothers set to see us into?
As Real BaKalanga, may we take this chance and inform you that we are extensively consulting with the elders in BuKalanga and all parties concerned in the issue of the revival of BuKalanga Empire and we can not be rushed into concluding the matter because the Moyo brothers together with the hand behind them are promising to install their Moyo King, which shall only benefit them.
