Am a concerned citizen in Zimbabwe. I have been following proceedings in happening in the civil service especially the Health sector.
Its more like disheartening that our government is prioritising recruitment of the curative staff that is Doctors and Nurses only.
As if they are the only people who make up the Health system.
Curative needs to be supported by preventive departments and diagnosing departments such as Environmental Health (preventive), Radiology, Laboritory (Diagonising), and supporting staff like the Institutional Domestic Supervisors, Rehabilitation Technicians (supporting staff).
Government on this seemed to be biased as nurses only can not make up the establishment of the Health system.
As a concerned citizen I have been to the hospitals only to find nurses though I wanted to have matters to do with Public Health.
I wish if it can correct on that rather than giving only the 2 000 posts for nurses and 250 doctors ignoring all other mentioned staff.
