'OK workers vow to adopt a go slow during the festive season over bonus'

2:08am, Nov 25 - +263 7* *** ****: OK ZW STORES gives its poor workers 50% pay bonus. Despite renovating its shops to be state of the art, acquiring new sophisticated bakery machine for more than 25branches, OK management is not sincere by paying its employees ½bonus.
Ok is ZW's biggest retailer by evenue& profitability. Recently CEO ZIREVA& Finance Director Siyarova announced a half year $4.3mln after tax profit down by 10.9%. The workers also cry foul that the company should considered that the same company declined to pay a 10.5% salary increase awarded by an independent abbitrator& should have cushioned employees from poverty with a full salary bonus.
The workers accuse top executive of earning mega salaries equivalent to 25% of the whole company wage bill. Some directors buy grocery of nearly $20 000.00 a month thru shop easy facility whilst general staff are entitled to $60 at no discount which is deducted from their meagre salaries. Workers urge the Min of Labour to investigate the following;
(1) continued contracting of employees who have served more than 6months consecutive
(2) dismissing employees on small shortages of less than $30
(3) reluctant to avaik workers representatives with their constitutions
(4) reluctant to grant workers meetings as per Calendar year
(5) refusal to pay overtime eg Referendum day 2013, stocktake overtime& ordinary overtime
(6) refusal to re-engage contract staff going to maternity
(7) long working hours& split shifts of 14hrs& 3hrs respectively.
(8) forcing workers to work with harzadous chemicals eg 'rogo' without protective clothing
(9) Intimidation of Workers committee& non-implementation of agreed matters at HR& FULL N.W.C Liason meetings
(10) refusal to do Internal negotiations at N.W.C level
(11) overworking& understaffing.
(12)adjusting up of budget targets to deprive workers of incentive targets.
(13) stop harassing workers on trading floor.
Workers urge company to retire HR executive Chimbwanda & Nyandoro for continuity, to restore workers confidence & morality. Workers vow to adopt a go slow during the festive season.
