ZIMRA celebrates taxpayer excellence at the 2025 Taxpayer Appreciation Awards

Harare, Zimbabwe - 13 November 2025 - The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) held the annual Taxpayer Appreciation Awards this morning, commemorating the invaluable contributions of compliant taxpayers across the nation. This prestigious ceremony celebrated individuals and businesses committed to upholding their tax responsibilities, thereby bolstering Zimbabwe's journey towards sustainable development.

Highlighting Special Awards for Youth and Women

This year, special emphasis was placed on recognizing the remarkable contributions of young taxpayers and women entrepreneurs. The "Youth Best Contributor" award celebrated Givemore Zulu, an exemplary leader under 35 years of age whose tax contributions reflect innovation and responsibility in business. The "Women in Business" category honoured Cinzia Bail, who demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment through her timely contributions.

The overall winner of the awards was awarded to Zimbabwe Platinum Mines (Zimplats) (Pvt) Ltd, recognized for their exceptional revenue contributions and consistent compliance since 2021. Other notable winners included:
  • Domestic Taxes Winner: Devchands Fashions
  • Customs & Excise Winner: Econet Wireless (Pvt) Ltd
  • Small Clients Category Winner: Selaros Investments
  • Medium Clients Category Winner: Legend Lounge Pvt Ltd
  • Large Clients Category Winner: PPC Zimbabwe

Hon. D.K. Mnangagwa, Deputy Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion, underscored the significance of these awards in his remarks, stating, "Your contributions are the lifeblood of Zimbabwe's progress, supporting the institutions and infrastructure that underpin our schools, hospitals, roads, and broader development." He emphasized that "each act of compliance is a brick in the foundation of our shared prosperity," reminding attendees that taxes represent a "declaration of faith in our nation and a patriotic duty."

ZIMRA's Board Chairman, Anthony Mandiwanza, echoed this sentiment, highlighting how compliance fosters growth: "Every act of compliance lays another brick in the foundation of our shared future." He praised the winners as role models whose integrity and commitment inspire others.
