South African award‑winning musician Makhadzi has been hospitalised after being involved in a road traffic accident while travelling from Limpopo to Johannesburg on the morning of 31 December.
In a media statement, Makhadzi Entertainment confirmed the incident, saying the singer is receiving medical attention following the crash.
"She is currently receiving medical care and remains in hospital, where her condition is stable and under close observation by medical professionals. The priority at this time is her recovery and well‑being," the statement read.
The management team appealed for privacy as the artist recovers.
"We respectfully request privacy for Makhadzi and her family during this period. Further updates will be communicated through official channels as and when appropriate.
"We thank fans, partners and the media for their support, concern and understanding."
