Mbira musician Vee Mhofu lit up Glen View on Wednesday with a captivating performance at Troyka, where he thrilled fans with both his traditional sound and a new single produced by Maselo.
Speaking after the show, Vee Mhofu said he was encouraged by the strong support he continues to receive from his followers.
“Music is a journey and I am happy with the support I am getting from my fans. It clearly proves that people have not forgotten their tradition, and we continue to teach that tradition should never be abandoned,” he said.
Fans who attended the show praised the artist for promoting Zimbabwean culture through his music.
“We are being encouraged to follow our tradition by Vee Mhofu. We are Africans, so we should preserve our culture. It is fashionable to keep following Vee Mhofu,” said Kudzanai Katogo.
