Mthwakazi nationals met in Gaborone on over the weekend and formed the MRP provincial structure.

This was revealed by the party' spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo through a statement.

In attendance was MRP national executive member Foreign Affairs Secretary of the revolutionary party Ackim Mhlanga Gasela.

"In his address Cde Gasela narrated the history of Mthwakazi nation and the pains the nation is going through. He took the members down the memory lane as far as Mthwakazi history is concerned," he said.

"Mthwakazi has suffered three consecutive genocides and nobody seem to be caring. Our oppressor doesn't see us as people at all , instead we have been in the past labelled as dogs."

He said Gasela gave a lecture on the party's background and after he had explained the functions of portfolios in a structure he congratulated those who had made it for the leadership positions.

"The MRP Botswana Main Structure stands as follows:

Chairman Mlindeli Ndlovu
Secretary - Sinothabo Sibanda
Treasure - Bongani Gumbo
Organizer - Samukeliso Sibanda
Infor &Pub - Tobias Fuyane
Culture - Bongani Gumede
Security - Peter Netha
Committee - Thabani Ngwenya
Committee - Makesure Ngwenya," he said.

"The newly elected committee vowed to work very hard in building the party. They promised that they will in short time recruit new members and fill in the structures of youth and women executive committees respectively."

Gumbo said this comes to the party as good news considering that it has always been the party's strategic plan to setup structures in all countries where there are many of our people especially South Africa, Botswana and UK.

Meanwhile MRP President Mr Mqondisi Moyo is currently in South Africa with the secretary for Information and publicity Mr Mbonisi Gumbo and secretary for security Mr Manqoba Sistha where they went to meet party structures as well as other political parties with a view to find a way to work together.

"This calls for celebration after a good year for the party, we have managed to reach out to our people as far as in Canada, USA, and as well as other countries and we expect to have setup party structures soon. Party Secretary General led the party's other NEC members to Lupane who include the party's Treasurer Mr Sibanda and Organising Secretary Mr C Khanye over the weekend to Lupane to help organise an end of year party to be held on the 14th of December 2016 in Lupane where hundreds are expected to attend," he said.
