He has already gone down in history for his audacity after asking both his wife and mistress to greet him when he was rescued from the Chilean mine.

Now cheating miner Yonni Barrios may find immortality on the internet after apparently being asked to become the face of controversial infidelity website AshleyMadison.com.

The website - whose slogan is 'Life is short. Have an affair' - has offered Barrios $100,000 to become its spokesperson, according to Pop Tarts.

The website provides an online dating service to husbands or wives seeking to have an affair.

If he said yes, Barrios would star in TV commercials and radio ads as well as make public appearances in North, South and Central America, Pop Tarts claimed.

But the caveat - and potentially his biggest obstacle to accepting the contract -is that he must remain married to his current wife.

Otherwise, presumably, his affairs would no longer be construed as 'cheating

That could present a problem for Barrios, 50.

He has been married to Marta Salinas, 58, for 28 years - but their marriage is now in jeopardy after it emerged during his time in the mine that he had been cheating on her with another woman.

Barrios asked both Salinas and his mistress, Susana Valenzuela, 50, to greet him when he was rescued from the mine last week.

Valenzuela greeted him passionately - but a furious Salinas stayed away.

The offer from AshleyMadison.com came amid rumours Barrios has a second girlfriend - this one aged just 25.

Rosa Esther apparently tried to visit her lover at the hospital after he was rescued, but was chased away by a fierce Valenzuela.

She is said to have told Colombia radio station La FM that 'he is my Yonny Barrios, mine and no one else's.

'How on earth is another woman going to take your man away from you if you're in love with him? I hit her, I hit her a lot.'

What Valenzuelas will think of the caveat in Barrios' AshleyMadison.com contract is not yet clear.

But if he does not sign it, she may well be the reason why.
