In Laws gang up to assault woman

An a 80 year old woman and her daughter ganged up to assault her son's wife in a dispute over an unspecified issue.
This was heard by a Bulawayo magistrate when Lisa Behane (22) and her mother Magaret Behane (80) all of Ntabazinduna appeared in court charged with assault.
The magistrate sentenced Lisa was sentenced to 3 months in jail which was wholly suspended for three years on condition of good behavior.
Her mother's sentence was postponed for three years on condition of good behavior due to her age.
The court was told that the complainant in the matter is Simiso Mpala (26) and on November 3 this year at 11am she went to the in-laws's home to fetch water. On arrival an altercation ensued between her and Africa Behane who has since been sentenced for this offence.
Their mother joined in the dispute by picking a brick and hitting Mpala on the back of the head. Lisa also joined and bite her twice on the left hand once on the right hand and once on the chest. She sustained lacerations. A report made to the police led to the arrest of the accused persons.
