Mentally disturbed woman raped the whole night

A MAN from Inyathi is on a collision course with the law after he forcibly slept with a 54- year-old mentally retarded woman.
The incident happened at the complainant's bedroom when the accused (27) sneaked into her hut during the night.
The complainant resides alone and it is said that at around 8pm, the accused crept into her bedroom and when she tried to scream for help, he threatened to kill her.
The unexpected night guest surprised the woman when he told her that he was spending the night at her place. He also informed her that she should not worry herself with preparing a sleeping place for him as they were going to share the same bed.
The complainant tried to refuse but the accused would have none of it as he reportedly undressed and commanded her to do the same.
The accused rapist forcibly had sexual intercourse with the complainant several times.
After having worked so hard, the man fell asleep and at around 7am, the woman woke up and left the man sleeping.
She rushed to her nephew's homestead and informed him about the stranger at her place. When the two arrived at the complainant's place, the accused ran away.
They then proceeded to Siganda Post where they reported the matter to the police.
Matabeleland North acting police spokesperson Sergeant Eglon Nkala confirmed the atrocious incident. "Police are investigating a case where a mentally disturbed Inyathi woman was allegedly raped by her neighbour.
"The accused was arrested and the complainant was ferried to Inyathi District Hospital for medical examination," said Sgnt Nkala.
