FORMER Highlanders utility player Bruce Kangwa was trapped in a liquor queue fight at Cowdray Park local supermarket where his female friend was involved in a fist fight.
In an incident that was witnessed by this reporter, Kangwa's female friend was in a queue intending to buy the "wise waters" as she was sent by the former Railstars and Zimbabwe Warriors nimble footed star player.
A man who could not be immediately identified tried to jump the queue and this did not go down well with the Tanzania-based Kangwa. The Tshabalala-bred footie star could not stomach the development hence a fist fight ensued treating shoppers to a free boxing match that featured the pint-sized footballer.
Interestingly, Kangwa was in the company of another footballer - Hillary Madzivanyika - his former teammate at Bosso.
The scuffle even caught the attention of workers at the supermarket. The man who also had a harsh exchange of words with Kangwa, was apprehended by one of the supermarket's security guards. He was then taken to the backyard storeroom where he was held for his actions.
The matter was not reported to the police. The man was reportedly released after he apologised for his actions.
Spirited efforts to get a comment from Kangwa drew a blank as his mobile number was not reachable.
