Mugabe jets off to Tehran

President Robert Mugabe has left for Tehran, to attend the swearing in ceremony of the Iranian president, Hassan Rouhani on Saturday.

President Rouhani, who had a landslide victory in May this year will be sworn in for his second term in office.

Zimbabwe and Iran share close ties as both countries have been at the receiving end of illegal US sanctions.

Meanwhile, Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa is the Acting President.
