CONTEMPORARY musician and Jah Prayzah protégé, Andy Muridzo - real name Andrew Ngwenya - has vowed to repent as he carries the 'bad boy' tag owing to his off-stage antics.
The 25-year-old, who is no stranger to controversy, has vowed to reform and save his career.
In an interview, the Jeetaz Band leader said life is the best teacher for everyone and to him it brought maturity.
"Everything has changed after being involved in many controversial issues.
"It's now the time for me to behave like an adult, I am changing from just a boy to a man.
"As a musician, I want to be a role model in the society and give direction to the young people," he said.
The singer grabbed headlines early this year when his illicit affair with raunchy dancer Beverly Sibanda was exposed which nearly cost his marriage.
"I have since moved on and I am now a new Andy Muridzo who has matured after situations.
"Everyone has their past, it might be good or bad but what matters most is to accept it and change for the better.
"Even if I take you to the bible, Saul he was converted to Paul after he saw the light and to me situations have changed me.
"I try each day to be a better person," he said.
A fortnight ago, Andy Muridzo riled fans when he reportedly came late for a show in Banket where he was chased away by fans.
"My brother I want to make it clear since many people are circulating falsehoods that I delayed attending the show.
"It's like fans wanted to greet me when I had gone for the show but they were too many so I was going to be squeezed in the process so I decided to run away.
"I am a professional, I don't breach contracts," explained Andy Muridzo.
Muridzo also described Jah Prayzah as his mentor and believes he will continue to learn more things.
"I know many people say I am being a copycat of Jah Prayzah but what they should know is that I am a product of Jah Prayzah."
In another interview, Gift Petro said the Jeetaz Band is now giving fans Christmas gifts during live shows.
"We are already sampling new songs during live shows and we are giving away Christmas gifts to lucky fans.
"This Friday we will be launching this initiative to our fans at Club Veritus in Westlea.
"We chose this venue because it's now our second home as the elders say charity begins at home.
"Veritus family (Westlea) have been supporting us from day one so it's a token of appreciation."
He added:
"When we are in Westlea we will be feeling a sense of belonging we are humbled by their overwhelming response."
Andy Muridzo has also saluted his fans in Westlea who frequents his shows at Club Veritus where he has never put a foot wrong.
He describes the popular watering as his second home as the crooner is also a regular performer at the venue.
