Mnangagwa and Chiwenga get away with murder?

Vancouver - President-elect Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy, military kingmaker, Vice President, Rtd General Constantino Chiwenga, will all but get away with murder today, regardless of the outcome of this afternoon's Constitutional Court verdict on the presidential election challenge lodged by the main opposition, MDC Alliance, Spotlight Zimbabwe, has been told.
Authoritative top government and intelligence sources say Mnangagwa may shockingly be inaugurated as Zimbabwe President within 48 hours, dealing a severe blow to his arch-rival, Nelson Chamisa, who garnered over 44 percent of the total votes in this month's historic poll.
This publication has also gathered that even if Mnangagwa's victory is nullified, and a run-off is called by the court, Zanu PF is set to cruise to a landslide victory reminiscent of former leader, Robert Mugabe's 2008 second round defeat of the late prime minister, Morgan Tsvangirai, as the army will reportedly be roped in to run the campaign and re-election machinery for Mnangagwa in about 60 days time, should matters take that political route.
However, they warn of untold political violence and bloodshed, as the MDC Allliance supporters are likely to engage in massive protests against Mnangagwa's power ascendancy.
"If the court upholds his (Mnangagwa) victory, and order for his immediate inauguration, Harare is going to become a warzone," said a senior intelligence officer, citing the latest findings from the dreaded Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO).
"Chamisa's supporters will try to block the smooth inauguration of the president-elect, and cause havoc, forcing the authorities to react with a stern use of the security forces. Government is aware that a plan has been hatched by the opposition, to cause a crisis and either force a government of national unity or inclusive administration as their political consolation."
Zanu PF has officially declined the possibility of forming a unity government with Chamisa.
