Zanu-PF legislator Justice Mayor Wadyajena has blasted deputy minister of Industry Raji Modi and Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube for what he called "indicating right while they turn left" through preaching that businesses must sell in bond notes while theirs sell in US dollar and freezing employment while they employ in their ministries.
The remarks come after Modi tweeted that he sells some of the good imported from outside in US dollar while Minister Ncube employed Acie Lumumba in his ministry when he has frozen employment in government.
"Interesting times Cde @nickmangwana. Ministers aren't practicing what they preach. @RModiByoSouth is demanding hard currency while his Ministry is telling businesses to accept RTGS/Bond, @MthuliNcube says don't employ while he employs & others openly contradict H.E @edmnangagwa!" Wadyajena tweeted.
In response to the tweet, Permanent secretary in the ministry of information Nick Mangwana said "Yes. He meant it. When we were asked to send in our budget proposals we were given caps from the word go. We also have job freezes and in my ministry we have vacancies for over 30 people but we are not allowed to fill them. We need a special dispensation to fill posts."
