Gwanda Ward 8 Councillor has pledged to attend to the plight of Hlalani Kuhle residents who now live in fear of having their houses collapse on them due to open cast mining at Imani mine.
This was revealed during a radio program that was conducted by Women's Institute for Leadership Development (WILD).
The program was a follow up to a site tour that took place last week at Imani mine and the nearby Hlalani Kuhle residential area. Representatives from the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development, Environment Management Agency (EMA), Imani Mine, WILD Ward Advocacy Committee members and affected residents took part in the tour.
Government representatives however, said they would give comment on the matter upon completion of a report about the mine blasts.
