Redan swindles coupon holders

Redan Petroleum (Pvt) Ltd has been accused of swindling its customers who are holding coupons by changing the quantity of fuel that is redeemable.
In a case where a coupon could redeem 200 litres now it redeems 80 litres and 10 litres now gives 4 litres.
Redan has attributed the increase to SI 10 of 2019 that resulted in the increase in fuel prices.
Commenting on the notice Gokwe-Nembudziya Member of Parliament Mayor Justice Wadyajena said, "This is a straight up con and citizens must not be swindled. You can't simply switch the price on PREPAID goods and services and fuel that you already have in reserve! H.E Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa has spoken about these crooked elements bent on sabotaging the economy for self enrichment."
MDC Vice President Professor Welshman Ncube said he faced the same thing at PUMA garages.
"PUMA just told me my 20 litre coupons are now 8 litre coupons even though since I bought them in November I couldn't redeem them as they had no fuel. Neither could they redeem it now because the fuel they have is for customers holding coupons marked DF." Ncube said.
