He was welcome by MDC President Nelson Chamisa and MDC National Chairman Tendai Biti.
"Back from college...so glad to see the people's commissar Hon Amos Chibaya in high spirit after being released from prison." The elated Chamisa said."Hon Chibaya is a peacemaker and hard-worker. The comrade has been targeted because of his indomitability in the fight for democracy and freedom in Zimbabwe."
Biti said the police can arrest MDC officials but will never break their spirits.
"Welcome back National Organiser. It was a great pleasure receiving Honorable Amos Chibaya after three weeks of detention on unjustified charges by the junta . They can arrest us , kill us , but they will never break us." Said Biti.
Chibaya is one the opposition officials and civic society leaders who were arrested in the recent past by the state over the #ShutdownZimbabwe protest which were followed by a state crackdown on citizens that left 17 people dead.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa is on record defending the security forces saying they were preserving law and order.
