Zimbabwe engages Palestine in observing elections

Zimbabwe engaged the Palestine observation team to observe the harmonized national elections held on Wednesday.
One of the observation team and Palestinian ambassador to Zimbabwe told this publication, "We did not observe any violence on the election day on the centers we visited which comprises of Avondale primary schools, Strathaven tents and Chisipite girls high school.
As observers we noticed the campaigning during and pre-election was free and fair henceforth Zimbabwe succeeded in keeping elections in accordance to the constitution.
He added that, "On behalf of the embassy and Palestine observers we send our congregations to Zimbabwe for keeping peace".
The Palestinian observation team focused on looking at the procedural aspects of the electoral process, the readiness of the election commission of Zimbabwe, the competence of the polling staff and the general voting environment of the election day.
