Surviving armed robber nabbed

The now deceased Kudzanai Zuze's friend Whisky Tennis (34) who was his accomplice while trying to rob a Concession miner was finally nabbed yesterday.

Sources close to investigations told Bulawayo24.com that Whisky was arrested in Glendale while trying to sell his car.

"We have arrested Whisky who was among the four armed robbers who pounced on Chimanga last month," the source said.

Allegations are that on November 12 the four armed suspects pounced on Chimanga's residents and poisoned his dogs before gaining entry around 3am.

Chimanga who was alert armed himself with a pistol and an axe and shouted for help before firing on the robbers killing one and giving two more shots in the air to scare them and alert neighbors.

He further informed the police who attended the scene and they invited the deceased's wife Privilege Kakomo who positively identifed the deceased's body.

Further inquiries were made and she disclosed that the deceased was in company of his accomplices all day before leaving at around 1800hrs.

A follow up was made at Whisky's place of residence and he was not located until yesterday.
