Man rapes minor in vegetable garden

A 38-YEAR-OLD Chiweshe man was convicted of rape yesterday at Bindura magistrates courts.
Romeo Nzvimbo was sentenced to 15 years in jail after he raped a 15-year-old girl in a vegetable garden in Chiweshe.
Prosecutor Edward Katsvairo told the court that on June 20, last year the complainant was sent to Nzvimbo to get her hair cut.
After the barbing Nzvimbo proposed love to the girl and he was turned down.
He subsequently told her that her mother wanted some vegetables from his garden hence she should escort him.
Upon arrival at the garden, Nzvimbo raped the girl.
A police report was filed leading to the arrest of Nzvimbo.
