Five cattle theft suspect arrested

Police have arrested a man in connection with the theft of five cattle in Mwenezi.

In a statement posted on their X account, the Zimbabwe Republic Police said the suspect, Shadreck Beta (42), allegedly stole five head of cattle from a complainant's pen in Dumela Village in December 2025.

"The ZRP confirms the arrest of Shadreck Beta (42) in connection with a case of stock theft. The suspect allegedly stole five head of cattle from the complainant's pen in Dumela Village, Mwenezi, in December 2025," read the post.

Police said four of the stolen cattle were recovered from the suspect in Gondweni Village, Chikombedzi, Chiredzi, on 10 January.
