The leadership of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries has paid a courtesy call on President Emmerson Mnangagwa at the Munhumutapa Offices in Harare, formally introducing its newly appointed Archbishop, Dr Joseph Joe Guti.
The visit follows the consecration of Dr Guti in January 2026 as the new head of the church after the succession of the late founder, Archbishop Professor Ezekiel Guti.
Speaking after the closed-door meeting, Archbishop Guti said the church used the opportunity to express its support for the government's leadership and ongoing national development initiatives.
He said ZAOGA continues to grow globally, noting its expansion in membership, infrastructure and outreach since the passing of its founding leader.
Archbishop Guti emphasised that the church remains committed to nation-building efforts, describing its role as contributing to both spiritual development and national progress.
ZAOGA Secretary-General Bishop Mishael Nyambo said the meeting also served to formally introduce the new archbishop to the President, following his consecration earlier this year.
President Mnangagwa has consistently highlighted the role of churches in supporting national development programmes, encouraging faith-based organisations to complement government-led initiatives aimed at modernising and industrialising the country.
