Police hunt suspect after Beitbridge murder near night club

THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has appealed to members of the public for information that could lead to the identification and arrest of a suspect linked to the murder of a 26-year-old man at Limpopo Business Centre in Beitbridge.
ZRP national spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident in a statement, saying the killing occurred in the early hours of June 26.
"The ZRP is appealing for information which may lead to the identification and subsequent arrest of a suspect who is being sought in connection with a case of murder which occurred at Limpopo Business Centre, Beitbridge, on June 26, 2026, at around 0200 hours, in which Vusumuzi Mbedzi (26) died," Nyathi said.
Police said Mbedzi's body was discovered lying near a nightclub with multiple head injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the murder remain unclear, and no arrests have been made.
"Anyone with information is urged to report at any nearest police station," Nyathi said.
Police said investigations are continuing and officers are pursuing several leads as they work to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing.
The ZRP has urged anyone with information that may assist the investigation to report to the nearest police station or contact the police through official channels.
